I am happy to announce I’ve been invited to blog over at The Central Ohio Network by uber social networker @Rockson from Twitter. If you’re in central Ohio and you’re not linked to Rocky on LinkedIn or following him on Twitter, you should be. He is one well connected dude.

I’m excited about this because I really want to dedicate my own blog to writing about the critical intersection between PR and social media. Yet I also love to write about other things, especially happenings in and around Columbus and central Ohio. I’m an Ohio evangelist, and Columbus specifically, because I’ve lived and worked other places (several towns on Long Island, NYC and Binghamton, NY) and I think our quality of life here cannot be beat. So big thanks to Rocky for giving me a space in which to rhapsodize about our fair city. More to come over there and in the meantime if you haven’t read the CNN article about Columbus yet, you should.

What else is cool and new this week? I won a free copy of the book Groundswell by Charlene Li and Josh Bernoff over at the Society for Word of Mouth community. Big thanks to Jackie Huba and Ben McConnell for hooking me up with a copy of this awesome book, which I would have purchased anyway as it was next on my social media reading list. Score!
